Pacific Northwest in August - Part I

We had a great time on our trip to the Pacific Northwest last week.

Ready for our trip!
Owen and I were so excited to get on the airplane. We packed our own bags!

When we landed in Portland, it was very late. The next morning, we met Aunty Katrina and Aunty Gloria, Ezra, and Milo at OMSI. What a fun museum! Owen and I loved the Science Playground and Inventor's Ball Room in the Turbine Hall. There was even a paper airplane making station that kept Owen busy for a long time.

Hair-raising experience at OMSI
Here's mama with the Van de Graaf Generator.

The following day, we had a HUGE breakfast/brunch at Word of Mouth Bistro. They had the best Cinnamon Roll Pancakes and Creme Brulee French Toast. Needless to say, we needed to burn off some calories. We went to visit some of the farms near Salem.

Giddy up Horsey at Bauman Farm
Bauman Farms had an awesome playground. These swings are "horses" made from tires.

Owen and I loved the seesaws.

Shortcakes
We visited the E.Z. Orchards Farm Market that had a great short cake stand.

Dinner on the deck
For dinner, we got to sit out on the deck enjoying the beautiful outdoors with the goodies we got from the farm. I especially loved the sweet corn!

Aki drawing hopscotch for Milo
After dinner, I showed Milo how to play hopscotch.

The following day, we spent the day at the Riverfront Park in Salem.

Riding the zebra on the carousel
I loved the carousel! I went on it so many times, and I couldn't get enough.

Then we went to the AC Gilbert Discovery Village - it was a super awesome children's museum.

Reading with mama
They had lots of things for us to do. Mama read to me from these BIG books.

Shopping time
And I got to go shopping at their grocery store.

Bubble play
And we got to play with bubbles.

We had so much fun in Salem. Thanks so much, Auntie Katrina and Auntie Gloria for taking such good care of us! We hope to go back and visit again!
