Gore Place Sheep Shearing

On Saturday we went to Gore Place for a sheep "shearing" festival. It's something like a haircut, only they get it cut really short! We met up with Emmy again and also Logan and Sydney from StrollerFit.

Marathon Monday

On Monday we drove to Ellie's house to watch the Boston Marathon. Me, Emmy and Ellie walked over to Coolidge Corner with our folks and waited forever for the runners to come by.

Where are all the runners?

Finally some wheelchairs started whizzing by. Uncle Henry went and got us a croissant while we waited.

And then we waited some more.

Ronak's 2 Too!

My friend Ronak had his birthday this week. He turned 2!

Friday night we went over to their house for cupcakes. We had a lot of fun with Ronak's new indoors play house. Phoebe slept for most of it.

Oof! Blow out the candle!

Then Saturday we went to the park for a big doggy party.

Big Red Barn

Oops, almost forgot to tell you about our Sunday expedition. We went to see the Big Red Barn in real life at Drumlin Farm.

If you don't remember the words, here is an excerpt as I remember it:

Near the big red barn in the great green field, there was a little pink pig, who was learning how to squeal.

Ok, I forget the rest of the book, but here are some of the other things I saw.

Baby lambs aplenty

We also saw a newborn baby lamb who was only 2 days old. It pretty much looked like the one above only lying down curled in a corner of the big red barn.

We even saw Serena the cat, but she didn't want to take a picture while she was drinking out of a puddle. I didn't get a chance to ask her how she got all the way over here before she ran away.

These chickens are cage free
The chicken coop had chickens roaming all over. It looks like I am in a cage! Tricky mommy!

Sorting my eggs
Here I am playing the role of USDA egg inspector and sorter

I like eggs
I have already eaten 4 hard boiled eggs for breakfast this week

It was a lot colder and rainier than Saturday so we didn't stay long. I had a fun time anyway, in the big red barn.

Visiting with Friends

Even though I'm almost one month old, I've had quite a few visitors. Before mommy was able to drive a couple of weeks ago, Katrina (one of mommy's friends and Ezra's mommy) came over and hung out with us.

She was so nice and snuggly, I fell asleep in her arms.

Last week, Owen's friend, Emerson and her mommy came over to play. Emmy really likes holding me. She's getting good practice being an older sister!

The following day, mommy, Owen, and I went to the Franklin Park Zoo with some friends from StrollerFit. It was my first time at the zoo, but I only got to see the entrance where mommy fed me lunch. After that, I was asleep for the rest of the visit. Owen told me that he and mommy saw zebras, kangaroos, sheep, goats, chickens, and wildebeest.

Today, Emmy and Alissa came back for a visit. This time, Ellie and her mommy, Lisa came over too for a play date and lunch. Owen sure had a lot of fun with the girls. They made so much noise, but I slept through it anyway.

Spring is Here!

Maybe the weather won't actually be nice from now on, but it was sure nice today! We celebrated by going to the Children's Museum for the first time in a long time. I got to show Phoebe all my favorites.

Splash!
I like popping the bubbles on the bubble tables. Daddy's getting ready for he splash!

I'm awake, who else is up?

This time of morning is usually party time for me, and since I'm up I figured I might as well blog. It's Thursday already, and I'm almost 4 weeks old!

Last weekend, I went to the aquarium for the first time. This is apparently my big brother's favorite place in the whole world. Owen is in love with scuba divers, masks, fins, tanks, and the "circle" they put in their mouths.

And the fur seals that swim in a big tank out in front

I think the aquarium is a neat place to sleep.

Later we went to see a movie and big brother went to sleep too. It was my first screen time, and was it a big screen!

When we got back home, Owen took a nap then woke up and rocked out for me. In his snow boots. I think he thinks if he wears his boots then maybe it will snow again. I haven't seen any yet!

Catching up

Lots of stuff happened last week so I'm a bit behind. It's going to take me a while to catch up since I'm tiny, and I don't type very fast.

Friday night I was sad. Mommy wouldn't give me any more milk. Daddy said it was because some pumping machine had eaten it. I didn't think that was fair, so I let them both know it.

Finally, daddy took me downstairs and gave me some milk from the kitchen. It tasted the same as mommy's milk, and the bottle felt just like my pacifier, only it gave me milk! I ate. Then I ate again. Then daddy said I couldn't eat any more so I went upstairs and lo and behold, mommy was ready to feed me again!

Daddy said my success was not good news for him--I hope mommy doesn't make him do that too often!

Shhh! Mommy and Owen are sleeping
Shhh! Mommy and Owen are sleeping!

On Saturday after Ah Mah went to the airport, I was napping downstairs and Owen came down to play. He saw I was lying on the ground and wanted to nap with me! Of course, he'd already had his nap so he was just pretending. My big brother. So silly! Looks like he's sleeping though, huh?

Sleepy time
Sleepy time?

Ok, enough writing for today. My little hands are tired. Maybe I do more tomorrow! Bye!
