We went hiking on Sunday at Walden Pond. Mommy and daddy wanted to see "the fall foliage", but I really don't know what the big deal is all about. I still can't figure out why the leaves outside my window are turning orange and red, then fall off. And I don't know why they would want to drive so far to see "leaves" when we have them right outside our door.
When we got there, it was really cold, so mommy had to put my warm hat on me. Even though we thought it was cold, there was an old man swimming in the pond! We met him later after he came out of the water. He said he must look like a strange fish to me.
There were also people fishing for trouts and kayaking in the cold water.
All in all, we had a good time. I even got in a little nap while Mommy and Daddy had a picnic by the water.
Here are some pictures from our visit.

Last time we came to Walden Pond, we walked for hours trying to find this place... the original site of Thoreau's House. This one's for you, Uncle Nicky.

On the way home, we stopped at Hammond Pond.
