Christmas Week

We've been back over a week already, and I've been busy with the holiday season. Here's some of the stuff I've been up to:

Last Friday we went to "dinner" at Emerson's house. Neither she or I wanted to eat very much--we'd much rather run!

Running
"Owee run!"

Then Emerson pushed me in her doll stroller

This isn't so different than the Phil & Ted
This is not so new for me. I get pushed in stroller all the time.

My turn to push
Now this is new!

Popsicle
Dessert was yummy popsicles. My lips were red afterwards, and they were red the next morning too!

Sunday we went to the Museum of Science downtown.

Chicks at Museum
Here I am, checking out the chicks

Then we went to go see some babes.

What's going on here?
I'm not sure why mom and dad brought me here, but I liked to "push the button"

Finally it was time for playing.

Studying cognitive neuroscience
I played with the toys a bit, but I'd much rather see the PowerPoint!

I also liked looking at rocks under the microscope.

"Looking" into the microscope
Of course, my eyes are closed and the microscope is pointed at my eyebrows, but I can see anyway!

On Christmas Eve, we went to town to see the sights. Boston isn't as Christmas-y as Honolulu or even Orange County, but it was still fun anyway.

Are we up for ice skating?
We watched the skaters on the Frog Pond

Mommy had to do some shopping so I took daddy to the bookstore to look at some books.

Firetruck in Downtown Crossing
On the way we saw some fire trucks!

Then it was Christmas Day! I slept in because I didn't know what a fun day we were going to have!

First it was pancakes with smiley faces, like in "George Pancake"!

Smiley blueberry pancakes
I liked the ones without the smiley faces

Then it was present opening time. I got to open lots of boxes!

New Brio train set
These presents are wrapped funny

Among the awesome gifts I got was this train set from Uncle JT.

Uncle JT's present combined with my IKEA set
Actually, he only got me the train cars on the bottom and enough track to make the loop on the top. I love it anyway! The rest is from IKEA.

Christmas smile
Merry Christmas!

I might be out of touch for a few more days because mommy says we're going to "Canada" for a little while. Maybe I can update from there, but if not, have a great week!

Happiest Places on Earth

Ok, last old vacation post, I promise...

Sunday was my Aunty Ying and Ryan's wedding. Like my preschool visits, this was the perfect opportunity for a nap.

Getting ready for the party

No luck though... Mommy got me up so I could watch. It looked like fun, but daddy said I can't do this for another thirty years or so.

Then it was time to party!

The next day we went to Disneyland. My usual morning nap left me groggy for the beginning, but I did enjoy the train ride over to Tomorrowland.

There were a lot of people there waiting in line for something. Too bad we had to get in line too.

At the end of the line, it turned out we were waiting to go on a NemoDory ride!

Finally... our submarine
Yellow submarine that took us to see Nemo

The ride was a lot of fun. Too bad we couldn't go on it again because the line was so long. But we did get to go on other fun rides.

The next one we went on was a boat ride through a Small World. Mommy and daddy said it was special because it was a Christmas version.

Merry Christmas
Mele Kalikimaka!

Then it was on to meet Mickey Mouse! I love Mickey Mouse!

But big Mickey is scary

After that was riding in giant teacups. That was super fun. I got to turn the wheel, and the faster it went, the bigger mommy and me smiled! Unfortunately, the faster we went, the greener and sadder daddy looked, so we had to tone it down for him.

Spin, spin, spin!

Later we went on a train ride. It's called Circus Train or something like that. But I heard the train say "I think I can" when it went up the hill and "I thought I could" when it went down. It was just like Train Could! This one, we had to ride again, no matter how long the line was. I wanted to cut in front of all the people too, but we had to wait our turn. Good thing it wasn't so popular.

Disneyland!
Disney was a lot of fun!

After Disney, it was time for dinner at Bebe's Cafe. Everyone was there, including the Thai cousins who came to visit for Aunty Ying's wedding. I got to play badminton afterwards.

Hit the birdie!
Birdie birdie, hit the birdie

I had so much fun in California and Hawaii. Hopefully I will be back again soon!

NemoDory days

When we got to California, there were lots of people to see. First we went to see Una and her new little brother. He was not so little. Mommy made him a hat but it's almost too small already! Una's daddy brought out his special screen and we watched a little bit of NemoDory or DoryNemo, as I like to call it.

I want to see Nemo too
We are busy. Don't bother us.

The next day we had a birthday party for my cousin Sydney and me. She's going to be 7. Alana and Baby Emma came to visit me.

Hi, Emma!
Here's Emma, snug and totally in Orbit

Aunty Bebe got a bouncy house for Sydney, which was fun for me too!

Let's go, Aunty Susan!

Then it was time for cake. NemoDory cake, that is.

Later it was time to open presents. I got lots of cool stuff, including this jersey that mommy really liked.

Brady rocks!
Who's this Brady character anyway?

Finally we went out to dinner with the Thai gang. I held my Nemo and Dory most of the night, but daddy took them away before this picture. I think that's why I'm not so happy looking.

Next time, a magical place, and then that's it for our trip! So short, huh?

Zoo, Cookie Kaboose and the Beach!

This time back we finally went to the zoo that daddy's been talking about. He didn't recognize it since he hasn't been in a long time, but I thought it was pretty cool. I saw chimps hugging, giant giraffes, and big elephants up close.

Because I helped sweep up, I got to ride on a hippo too

After the zoo, we went to hang out with Aubrey and her parents Lydell and Cheryl. She's 16 months old now!

The next day we went to lunch with Uncle Lester and Aunty Daryl. Before lunch though, I got to ride on the Cookie Kaboose!

We met up with daddy's friends again the next day in mommy's quest for good Thai food in Hawaii. Here we are at Chiang Mai. Pretty good, very spicy, but still could be better...

And what trip to Hawaii would be complete without:

Beach time fun
Showing off daddy's "abs" at the beach?

The last night, Kung Kung and Grandma had a party for us. Lots of people came and I entertained them with one of my early Christmas presents, my "gi-TAH."

Hawaii was a lot of fun, and we even got to go to see a bunch of preschools. I caught on quickly though, and I fell asleep for the last few.

Next time, sunny Cali and more party time!

JT's Train, Hiking, and See Dai Doo

Okay, time to go back and recap our trip...

On Sunday, in Hawaii, I woke up even earlier. 2:00 is a beautiful time of day. Anyway, after about 5 hours I was ready for a nap, and I was still sleeping when Uncle JT and Aunty Lynne came over. Uncle JT brought his train set from when he was little. That helped me wake up.

Choo-choo!

Uncle Jeff showed me how his train works
I claim the engine. You can have the boxcar.

Later we went for a walk up an old volcano called Makapuu. Because it has been raining so much in Hawaii, it was really green.

Here we are at the top. Uncle JT is showing off my abs.

Hiking with Uncle Jeff and Aunty Lynne
I got to walk run most of the way down.

That night we went to a Christmas party at the See Dai Doo Society. That's a Chinese social club that Daddy's family belongs to.

Nene time at the Christmas party
If you wake up at 2 am, it's hard to stay up past 4 pm.

Santa gave me a present
They woke me up to see this suspicious guy in the red suit. He gave me a baby rattle, which I did enjoy.

Hawaii is so much fun! Next time, zoo, more friends, and fun in the sun!
