Happy Birthday, Daddy
In celebration of his big day, we're heading up to New Hampshire this weekend with Uncle Sameer, Aunty Sarita, and Ronak. The boys are looking forward to having fun at Story Land. I'll let you know if there's anything for me to do there :-)

Little Rascals Apple Picking
This weekend we went apple picking again. You'd think we were tired of picking apples already, but this one was a fundraiser for my school. Daddy says every school I go to will always be making fundraisers so I should get used to it. But I haven't even been in school 2 weeks yet!
I walk right in and get the apples. Is anyone looking?
I'm laughing because I'm not supposed to be eating this apple leaf. Ronak is trying to get me not to eat it.
Ronak sitting in the grass. The grass was so long, you can only barely see me! It was also very wet.
Mommy caught a baby duck to show me. Like in my baby duck goes to school book.
What shall I paint?
We're going to tag this wall good
Once we got tired walking through the tall grass, daddy came up with the wagon
He pulled us to the bouncy house. Gym class is doing me good. I can jump off the ground now.
Hayride! Where's the hay?
On the way home, I got to eat an apple. This is how I eat it.

Davis Farmland
This past weekend we went out to a new farm for apple picking. Of course we had to see all the animals first...
This baby cat is fun, but where are the big animals?
Baa baa black sheep. And baa baa white sheep too.
Daddy feeding the baby goat. Is it my turn? I'm hungry too!
It looks like it's eating my hand, but I have goat food in it. He tickled!
The goats were really interested in Aki.
They just wanted to say hi
Or maybe they just wanted to eat her
Hey, where's the windshield?

First Day of School
Today was my first day at preschool! I got my new orange backpack together with my change of clothes and some pull-ups ("swim diapers" as I like to call them). Then Daddy dropped me off. Ms. Andrea carried me in, and I didn't look back. I don't think I really needed to be carried. I know how to walk. No tears, no nothing. Except maybe Daddy cried a little, but I'm not sure about that.
As far as what happened in school, I'll tell you what I told Mommy and Daddy. There was something about drums and a boy in a white jacket, possibly named Myles, who didn't get to share the drums with me. Some kids sang the good morning song, and I just watched.
After an hour or so, the teacher came and got me to put my shoes and my backpack on. We went outside, and there was Daddy! I don't know, maybe he was standing there the whole time? I got in the car and we went out to get a little first day of preschool present. Maybe tomorrow I can stay longer? And get another present?

Kitty hats
A couple of weeks ago I asked Mommy to make me a kitty hat so that I can be Serena cat grandma's adopted cat. Mommy finally finished making one for me and one for Aki.

Writing
Daddy helped me spell out my name, but I wrote all the letters by myself. No helping, I promise! No practice either! This is why I type my posts instead of writing them.

More Aki Developments
I am a growing baby.
Owen wears size 4 diapers, I wear size 3
I am constantly scooting now. This is how it happens.
Belly down, tongue out!
Up into yoga pose on my hands and feet
I was in the middle of that quilt just a few minutes ago.
Here I am scooting under the couch. Is someone going to come get me?

Labor Day Shenanigans
Last weekend we had a lot of fun out on the town...
On Saturday we went to the ICA again for their free family day.
I did a bit of painting. This is a truck.
Then I got to do a mold with mommy. First you mix up these waters. Then you pour it in and it comes out hard!
On Sunday, we went apple picking with our new neighbors, Mr. Marriah, Ms. Kremena and Varna.
Apple picking is a lot easier than blueberry picking
Hi woolly sheep
I'm driving the caterpillar train with Varna
Lookout Farm is always the best!
Monday, our extra bonus day, we went to do more arts stuff, this time at the DeCordova Museum. Daddy hadn't been before, so we took him. Everything was different though from the last time I was there...
The parking kiosk at the entrance
I got to play this musical fence. It's by the grandson of one of my favorite artists, Mootisse!
Aki was not so impressed with the sculptures
Here's one mommy and daddy liked. It's called the Merry Go Round of Hidden Agendas. It's a big circle. This is one of the people on the outside.
This is the other side of that person
I like sculptures. I got to see them up close.
Very up close!
We didn't intend to have an artsy weekend, but we had a lot of fun seeing stuff anyway! Hope you all had good Labor Day weekends.
