Davis Farmland

This past weekend we went out to a new farm for apple picking. Of course we had to see all the animals first...

This baby cat is fun, but where are the big animals?

It looks like it's eating my hand, but I have goat food in it. He tickled!

The goats were really interested in Aki.

6 Months of Aki

I'm 6 months young today. Happy half-birthday to me! I celebrated by having bananas twice today. It was quite a party.

Aside from starting school this last week, we've been up to our usual lives here...

First Day of School

Today was my first day at preschool! I got my new orange backpack together with my change of clothes and some pull-ups ("swim diapers" as I like to call them). Then Daddy dropped me off. Ms. Andrea carried me in, and I didn't look back. I don't think I really needed to be carried. I know how to walk. No tears, no nothing. Except maybe Daddy cried a little, but I'm not sure about that.

As far as what happened in school, I'll tell you what I told Mommy and Daddy. There was something about drums and a boy in a white jacket, possibly named Myles, who didn't get to share the drums with me. Some kids sang the good morning song, and I just watched.

After an hour or so, the teacher came and got me to put my shoes and my backpack on. We went outside, and there was Daddy! I don't know, maybe he was standing there the whole time? I got in the car and we went out to get a little first day of preschool present. Maybe tomorrow I can stay longer? And get another present?

Kitty hats

A couple of weeks ago I asked Mommy to make me a kitty hat so that I can be Serena cat grandma's adopted cat. Mommy finally finished making one for me and one for Aki.

Labor Day Shenanigans

Last weekend we had a lot of fun out on the town...

On Saturday we went to the ICA again for their free family day.

Watercolors at the ICA
I did a bit of painting. This is a truck.

Mixing up the resin for my molds
Then I got to do a mold with mommy. First you mix up these waters. Then you pour it in and it comes out hard!

On Sunday, we went apple picking with our new neighbors, Mr. Marriah, Ms. Kremena and Varna.

Monday, our extra bonus day, we went to do more arts stuff, this time at the DeCordova Museum. Daddy hadn't been before, so we took him. Everything was different though from the last time I was there...

Musical Fence
I got to play this musical fence. It's by the grandson of one of my favorite artists, Mootisse!

Here's one mommy and daddy liked. It's called the Merry Go Round of Hidden Agendas. It's a big circle. This is one of the people on the outside.

We didn't intend to have an artsy weekend, but we had a lot of fun seeing stuff anyway! Hope you all had good Labor Day weekends.

Update from Aki

Hi folks, it's me Aki. I haven't posted in a while, so I thought I would give you all an update on what I've been up to.

Aki scoots backwards now
I can scoot backwards now. Sometimes I end up in unusual places.

Entertaining Aki
I am easily entertained by this guy. This is Owen pretending he's seen Kung Fu Panda, which he has not. This makes me laugh.

And most importantly, mommy has started feeding me real food! With a spoon!

Garden in the Woods

I've been really into gardens lately. I arrange my comforter into a circle and then tell mommy that I'm sitting in my garden. Mommy and daddy aren't allowed to touch my garden or I might squash the bunnies.

So to celebrate my interest in gardens, mommy and daddy took me to the Garden in the Woods last weekend. There was some kind of big bug walk they wanted to take me on.

The bugs were big!

Afterwards we went to the Lego Store.

I got a little Lego bulldozer to start my collection. I think maybe I need some bigger ones though because it keeps falling apart.

Blueberry Picking

Last weekend we went to go blueberry picking. This turns out to be much easier for the grownups than strawberry picking since you don't have to bend down so much. It wasn't too different to me... Here are some pictures from our adventure.

Back in Boston

So now we're back in Boston, and I stay up super late with mommy and daddy because I don't feel tired. Aki is sleeping on a regular schedule, which makes life fun for mommy and daddy with two different sleep schedules, mine and hers.

We had an awesome last week in Hawaii. I don't have the energy to describe it all, but there are some pictures if you click on the pictures thing on the right. Hopefully once daddy gets over his wanting to sleep all the time, I can do more blogging. I hope we get to go back to Hawaii soon!
